Ethical dilemmas of social working with children with malfunction of behaviour
VOŠAHLÍKOVÁ, Iva
The aim of the thesis is to articulate individual dilemmas in social work with children with behavioural problems. Thanks to the specification of the facility in which I work as a social worker, i.e. an educational institution for girls, which includes a unit for underage mothers with children, I will break down at work the various dilemmas associated with working with this target group. The dilemma itself may be whether pregnant underage girls should be placed in institutions of institutional education, whether they are competent to care for their child when they are still children themselves. They have behavioural problems, some of them also suffer from psychiatric disorders, are or have been drug users. They have different value orientations. Social workers in institutional education deal with various dilemmas, it is (according to Matthew): formalisation and deformation, professionalisation and deprofessionalisation, normalisation and abnormality, assistance and social control, polyvalence and specialisation. In Musil's view, complex or simplified objectives can be addressed, neutrality or favoritism, procedural or situational approach, material or non-material assistance, intervention or non-intervention. The work will be complemented by ethical theories that can help a social worker make decisions.
Role of Child behavioral psychologist in a children's home to school
JAKŠIČOVÁ, Kateřina
The questions and problems concerning the upbringing of children are a part of everyday life. Every day, there are new publications, websites or popular magazines that advise the general public and recommend how to raise children in the best way. These general recommendations are not suitable for children who, due to inadequate education, central nervous system disorders or social environment, suffer from some of behavioral disorders. These individuals are very negatively perceived by society and their number is increasing in the recent years. If the behaviour disorder is not acceptably compensated, there is the possibility that the children are eventually placed in educational facilities for institutional and protective care, where a team of experts led them to the adoption of appropriate patterns of behaviour. In the Czech Republic, there are several types of these facilities, which are engaged in re-education. In the resocialization process, a very important role is performed by a special education teacher a child behavioural psychologist. The scope of these professionals is very wide and, in cooperation with other professionals, responsible for the successful inclusion into society. The main task of the child behavioural psychologist is to establish a relationship with the children and also to percectly know them. A child behavioural psychologist in the facility replaces the parental role, which is often absent in the original environment. Subsequently, the program consists of individual personality development, which determines the process of re-education of the child. This program leads to the adoption of behaviour acceptable to both the child and a normal society outside the facility.

LEJSKOVÁ, Lucie
This work aims to find out how the former long-term users orphanages solve problems in different areas of their lives after leaving from these devices. The theoretical part describes the system of alternative care for children and adolescents in the Czech Republic and also I have focused on the characteristics of children's homes and departures from them. The survey was carried out through interviews with former long-term users of orphanages. To achieve the goals I set out general indicators arising from theoretical knowledge. Most of the findings coincided with the theoretical part, only the area of housing has not been evaluated by respondents as problematic. Investigations pointed to the lack of user awareness of possible participation in projects and related services that would initially be helpful.
